𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗳𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗮 is a tiny cycladic island that lies in the Acropolis
hilll. In nowadays only 45 cubic small houses remain to remind you the origin
of their first inhabitants, carpenters and stone workers from Anafi island who
came here in the middle of 19th century. This picturesque neighborhood is
located in Plaka, the oldest area of Athens, and provides to visitors not only
the illusion of strolling in an Aegean island but also the tranquility in the
heart of a very busy city and an amazing view of Athens.
Many people even Athenians use to call Anafiotika a larger area of Plaka, truth is that this "village" starts where the classic urban neighborhood ends.
